Narrative, is also called story-telling. It is a language competence to relate some events in sequence without language contexts.There are two types of narrative according to express ways: oral narrative and written narrative separately. Written narrative is one element of literature activities in the artistic world. Written narrative is organized by language, and build up the character's action and time, thus form the written story with the medium of paper.Through the study of deaf students' written narrative, we can analyze the problem emerged in the narrative text, and find out the elements which affect the written narrative performance. It is meaningful for the deaf students' writing instruction. Detailed intervention plan can be set down and implement.This research collected written narrative text elicited from "frog, where are you" in two Deaf and Mute schools. Through the study of narrative length, words, sentence, and narrative structure, we can analyze the trait of deaf students' written narrative text and the element which affect the narrative structure.By analyzing the written narrative text, the study report that the words error involving noun, verb, adverb, auxiliary word, preposition words,etc. Deaf students usually use wrong sentence and the sentence type is very simple. Grade is the most important elements affect the story grammar and narrative structure.This study analyze the middle and high grade deaf students' written narrative characteristic, and give advise to the written narrative instruction and practice.
