Research On Change In The Issue Of Higher Education Research

Research issue of higher education research is important, and we should pay attention to its change. Discuss the issue change of higher education research has significant meanings of theory and reality. This dissertation uses higher education, which comes from Social Sciences Information Center of Renmin University of China , to do a case study. It is a research on articles in higher education from 1998 to 2007. This dissertation tries to find out how the higher educational research issues are changing and the reasons behind it by studying the article theme's quantitative change.By statistics and analysis on higher education, the issues change of higher education research can be concluded to three aspects:From the four first level issue, the researches on practice of higher education are decreasing while the attention paid to theory of higher education is increasing. The year of 2002 can be a mark. Before 2002, the higher education research especially emphasis on "practice of higher education" research to solve the practical problem. After 2002, the higher education research incarnates a trend of "theory of higher education". It is especially demonstrated a trend of focusing on Idea of higher education (contains Idea of a University), and theory construction of subject. This is because higher education plays a very important role in modern life, and practice of higher education will develop more rapidly under theory's guidance.Issue change on the system of higher education research, "general situation of higher education" and "structure and development strategy of higher education" has decreased apparently. "Relation between higher education and society" and "system of management" has the rapid development. Higher education research not only shows great care on relation between government, society, economy and higher education, but also focuses on the social involvement. Such as the interference and support from government, families and communities. This trend of higher education research is just owing to the need of society and the need of higher education itself.Issue change on the management of colleges and schools research, we can see higher education research emphasized on the "quality management and assurance in higher education" and "plans for the University and college". The thesis about "course and teaching" and "student" had reduced. But management of colleges and schools research laid heavy stress on "student". It is obviously demonstrates the care about "the entrance examination of the college" and "employment". This change is owing to mass higher education.Issue change of higher education research is a developing concept. As the development of history, it will be changed constantly in the future. What is the issue of higher education research in the future, we should concern deeply.
