Tibetan Bar: A New Mode Of Urbanization For Conventional Tibetan Culture

Along with the development of modernization in China, the Chinese society has being changed fiercely, and the western multi-national area on which the modernization has brought impact obviously has also been involved in this mighty current inevitably. One of the important performances about modernization is urbanization that not only takes the massive shifts of surplus labors in countryside who come from Han Nationality area and want to live in urban as expression, also shows that the national ingredient in urban is increasing; the national minority is accounting for the bigger proportion of the urban population; the condition of living together or scattered is getting more and more complex, and so on.. Correspondingly, urban culture has being more and more multiplex, and the government has being paid more attention to the urban nationality work. Therefore, it is natural that the development condition of the national minority culture's surviving in urban has becoming an important object that is concerned by ethnologists nowadays.Tibetan bar just emerged under the above background. The writer researched the carrying and development of Tibetan conventional culture in urban in sight of cultural anthropology through understanding and investigating a certain number of Tibetan bars big or small in Lanzhou city, and took the Tibetan bar as the point of contact. The Tibetan bar's appearance reflects many social phenomena and questions. On the aspect of the phenomena reflected by the Tibetan bar, firstly, we can find that Tibetan culture has become an important component of the urban multiplex culture and adapted to the Tibetan' demand for the Tibetan culture as well as the non-Tibetan according to the prosperity of the Tibetan bar in urban. Secondly, the Tibetan bar this Tibetan culture entity is a revolutionary pattern that the conventional Tibetan culture has adapted to the urban environment. Thirdly, the Tibetan bar also is a way of exploiting national cultural sources under the background of market economy, and is the result of that our country supports the development of nationality industry. However, there are also some problems lying in the management process on the Tibetan bar, this is not only expressed by the lack of the cultural connotation caused by the substantive characteristics of pursuing profit because Tibetan bar is commercial entity, also is expressed by the unitary content of management, ill-administration, programs' vulgarization and other aspects. But, judging it objectively, the existence and development of the Tibetan bar have conformed to the tendency of the historical and the social development. Along with the quickening of the urbanization process, the transient population of the national minority is increasing unceasingly, and the country also has strengthened the force of protecting the national culture, and advanced the development of national culture industry positively by some certain policies and regulations, so the Tibetan bar has been of the same step. Nevertheless the Tibetan bar is a new thing that arose in the last few years, and it is inevitable that some problems are existed. The writer on the one hand has affirmed its existence value in this article, on another hand raised the problems and revolutions through the investigation and analysis on several Tibetan bars in Lanzhou, the actual content is as follows.In the first chapter, the expression ways of Tibetan culture in city are introduced firstly, and then introduce the background that the Tibetan bar was born, finally elaborate why the Tibetan bar can play the part of the Tibetan culture in city. In the second chapter, it is concluded that the Tibetan bar is a new pattern of urbanization for Tibetan conventional culture through analyzing the management thinking of Tibetan bar, its business operation, social function and so on, and comparing with other inheritance patterns of the national minority's conventional culture in city. In the third chapter, mainly point out the problems insisting in the Tibetan bar, and find out the reasons surfaced or in-depth and put forward relevant solutions through on-the-spot investigation and unifying massive materials. In the forth chapter, it can be predicted that the development of Tibetan bar will have a bright future in city through the analysis on current realistic factors.
