An Investigation And Analysis Of The Status Quo Of Urban Multi-national Contacts Psychology In Areas Inhabited By The Huis And The Hans

Taking an urban Hui community as its perspective, and questionnaires and personal interviews as its basis, this paper is to make a general analysis of the status quo of urban multi-national contacts, in such respects as politics, economy, culture and social life, in areas inhabited by the Huis and the Hans so as to give a general appraisal of the multi-national relationship and the psychological contacts between the Hui and the Han in Ningxia on this basis.Through the fieldwork, interviews and the analysis of questionnaires, we found that the multi-national relationship and the psychological contacts show the following characteristics between the Huis and the Hans in Guyuan City :First,the Huis and the Hans have a intuitive understanding and congnition with each other in their religious belief ,customs and cultural characteristics after the process of contacts .And there is a certain degree of acceptance and intergration trends in the customs and culture ;Second ,the Huis and the Hans have a harmony and frequent contact in all aspects .But through the investigation we find that the contact between the national members take the economic exchange as their suppert.Third,the Huis and Hans have positive and stable attitude toward inter-ethnic contacts in the psychological scale ,such as colleagues,group ,neighours and making friends.But the upgrade of their religious beliefs,the Huis have a high congnition in the national consciousness and the national identity .The Huis and the Hans have a high sense of identity in the same sex in the contacts by the impact of the traditional Chinese culture and the division model .Regard to the deep-seated inter-ethnic-marriage contact,members of the Huis and Hans have certain reservations .Especially,the Huia have the attitude because of the religion belief .And the opposition of the Hans due to the differences in the living habits.
