Development And Characteristics Of The Woman Vaulting Horse Innovation Movement

The 2008 Beijing Olympics will bring an unprecedented development opportunity to Chinese competition sports.As an artistic gymnastics competition project, woman vaulting horse has its deep influence on and positive role in the development of Chinese artistic gymnastics. When we enter 21st century, new grading rules issued by International Gymnastics Association in 2006 can effectively and precisely grade the differences of different level athletes .But the main current of pursuing the highest and the most difficulte make innovation still one of the factors of gymnastic making success in 21st century. So the innovation in the techniques of Woman Vaulting Horse is becoming much necessary.Woman vaulting horse has developed 50 years, having 15 innovation actions totally. It plays an important role in educating the talented person and guiding the development of vaulting technique.The woman vaulting horse have made great achievement because of the innovation from 2005 to 2007. But by looking up a great deal of literature review, in particular,by analysing more than 100 theses of master and doctor graduates of the last 20 years ,we find that the research of the innovative theories of the woman vaulting horse is weak, and there is no research subject for the the woman vaulting 15 innovative movement. Because theory is closely related to practice, weak theory is an disadvantage for the innovation and development of the our country's woman vaulting horse, even impedes the realization of the plan" winning glory for the Olympics ". Sorting out and rerecognizing the existing innovative movement of the women vaulting horse are the review and the summary of history. Detection of the characteristics of innovation movement can push forward the technique innovation of women vaulting horse.By means of documentary research, interviews, video and statistics, this article systematically analyses and studies the development of 15 innovative movements in 2006 version international gymnastics grading rules. According to the present situation and development of current the women vaulting horse, this article tries to find out the characteristics of innovative movement of the women vaulting horse in order to promote an overall ,balanced and sustainable development of Chinese women vaulting horse.The Study shows:(1)The development course of innovative movement of woman vaulting horse consists of three different stages---namely, new breakthrough in 1970s, handspring movement had made first innovation. However,because of its own limitation,it did not have revolutionary influence on the development of vaulting horse movement. New development in 1980s, that is ,the appearance and development of the a new technology---back handspring, which created a new field for the development of woman vaulting horse thechnology. New trend in 1990s, that is ,the appearance of 180°turn which make the innnovation of woman vaulting horse inclined to handspring movement. During the process of innovation, the 'new' is prominent, meets the rule and guides the regulation of the technique development.(2) The exploration of the characteristics of the woman vaulting innovation movement is mainly reflected in the following three aspects: first, movement group: the choice of movements of different difficulties and groups in the same type of technique is advantageous to the innovation development. Second, innovation regulation: to add difficulty in second soars; to innovate on the basis of inheritance; to innovate movement from easy to difficult. Third, innovation method: to innovate by adding difficulty progressively and transplanting. The method of added difficulty progressively accounts for 66.7% of the total amount in 15 innovation movements.(3) The phenomenon of the community concentration appears in the process of movement innovation. As for the movement group, it concentrates on the fourth an fifth group. As for the innovation regulation, it concentrates on the added difficulty in second soars. As for the innovation method, it concentrates on the method of added difficulty progressively. This phenomenon is benefit for the consecution of the innovation movement, and can shorten innovation training time. So we can use this phenonmenon in the future to make innovation.(4) Innnovation is still an improtant factor for the success of women vaulting horse.As for the present situation,the hot point is how to explore its potential of the forth and fifth movement. But it has to be pointed out that because of the alteration of the appearance of the vaulting horse apparatus,it also provides opportunity for other movement groups. Therefore,we should not keep the routinism,exploring actively and eager to be the first, and start a new era for women vaulting horse.
