The paper made a comprehensive conclusion towards the characteristics of the teaching job of the Chinese subject of secondery vocational school; illustrates the living problems of the Chinese teaching by analysis the conditions of 2 major Jiangyin local vocational high schools. According to individual teaching experience and practice, the paper also gives out the personal ideas of the teaching reforming of the Chinese subject in ways of teaching concepts; teaching contents; teaching methods and the art of teaching to fit the present teaching situation.The subject Chinese is the basic cultural required course for all majors of secondary vocational schools. It is good for cultivate students'all-round qualities, and is useful in students'life time personalities and careers .It also made a stable foundation in the process of improving students'abilities. For a past long period, the stage of reforming of the Chinese teaching didn't go deeper; the paper puts the specialties of vocational high school Chinese teaching into research to find out the problems in order to provide reference for the teaching. The paper is made up of 3 parts: 1st part is about the vocational high school Chinese teaching: point out the specialties and its necessity; 2nd part is to analysis the problems of the present teaching situations in all aspects by using the questionnaires: tell the teachers that we should face up the problems; 3rd part is to research the strategies: how we walk out of the trouble in the teaching way:according to the students'and the subject's characteristics ,change the idea of teaching concept; well–prepare the teaching contents , choose the suitable teaching method, by using variety of the teaching skills to improve the qualities of our Chinese teaching in secondery vocational schools etc.
