In the first place, this paper makes an analysis and summary of the current situation of Chinese language teaching in the major of Finance and Accounting in most of the secondary vocational schools, by investigation and document research. Then, it discusses the set of the courses, the compiling of the textbooks and the strategies to improve the teaching.After all the studies, it advises to divide the current Chinese teaching into four separate courses:language teaching, calligraphy, practical writing of finance and accounting and mandarin training. As for the compiling of the textbooks and references, it suggests that people should follow the rules such as to highlight both basic knowledge and the practical use of language, to reflect the features of the students’majors and also to develop their quality for future professions, to take the factor of students’age into consideration as well as to apply various methods to arouse the students’interest to study. In the teaching process, teachers should also take measures to highlight the specialities of finance and accounting. For instance, they can improve the students’ hand writing by integrating the teaching of calligraphy, pay more attention to oral communication and practise it in every stage of the class, and value more of practical writing and make the students have a good command of it. As to the teaching strategy, this paper advocates for diversification and informatization. Teachers should proficiently make use of modern information technology such as the internet and multi media tools. Besides, they should use the interest-arousing method and action-oriented approach to stimulate the students’ interest for study and to make the classes more efficient. They can also try to carry out extracurricular practices to help the students transform knowledge to ability. At last, this paper advises to take a comprehensive way to evaluate the teaching of Chinese in Secondary Vocational schools. The evaluation of the teaching process and the feedback from the students should be valued most and a system with the characteristics of finance and accounting should be built.
