The 21st century is a new century full of human society enters the information-baed era, multimedia and network technology as the core of modern information technology has become the creative human capacity development tools. In the wave of Physical Education Reform information technology applying to physical education has become the most important topic. This article mainly studies the sports multimedia educational materials, independent of the evaluation of teaching and learning platform, through information technology in the teaching model and tennis practiceOur country's schools sports education introduced the modern Western concept of physical education from the late 19th century early 20th century, but so far, the physical education teaching content and methods used in teaching materials still follow the established sports basic skills, basic skills, basic theoretical knowledge. The major measures of physical education are still the primal, teachers teaching, performing, video and graphic comparison. With the continuous development of social productive forces and information technology, the concept of personnel training is changing, the needs talents are required to have a broad theoretical knowledge and relatively good at professionals. So the traditional teaching ways and the simplex function could not adapted to the needs of social development well, and even fell behind the development of other disciplines. So there is an urgent need to strengthen its educational function. So the emphasis of schools physical education teaching should divert from the former " established knowledge-based teaching" to the development of the ability to discover, analysis and solve the question. Let students know the solution to the problem, but also make students to find a solution method, and to provide information technology environment to enable students to easily get their wanted knowledge. It is a good way to carry out the education for all-around development and the healthy education that to make full use of information technology and develop network teaching actively. It would make fantastic contribution to the talents training for the new times.This paper outlines the contemporary college sports education and the feasibility to apply to the information technology in college sports education. On this basis, contraposing the characteristics of the information technology environment and the advantages of physical education, and the analysis of teaching requisites as well as the the needs of the studentsit also studies the teaching design on how to centralize on"teaching"and"learning". Besides it designs two applying cases, "multi-media teaching tennis" and "self-learning platform tennis". Judging from the experts attitude, the students survey and interviews, and the experimental classes and the control of the class teaching evaluation, it comes to the following conclusions: (1) teaching and learning under the environment of information technology, it can enhance the teacher's sense of innovation and improve teaching effectiveness, fully embodies the student-principal, teachers play a leading role in the teaching concept. (2) the use of multimedia computer network technology, we can visualized, vividly, intuitionistic teaching physical education may be unique in the developments, changes in the process, use of simulation, simulation, and visualization, the reality of the way, The process of teaching and to present realistic. (3) at different stages of sports skills formation, we should be optional to use , in the generalization stage, we believe that the use of information technology for teaching, results to the best effect.
