With the deepening of new course reform, teaching reflection has claimed more and more attention from education practitioners. Many cases indicate that the development of teachers is based on the teaching reflection on everyday teaching. There is also a tendency for Chinese teachers to practice teaching reflection.This thesis makes a preliminary research on middle school Chinese teachers' teaching reflection in the context of new course. Beginning with the connotation of "reflection", the first part presents systematically the meaning of teaching reflection, relevant theories at home and abroad and the features and significance of teaching reflection.Middle school Chinese teachers' teaching reflection is a process during which middle school Chinese teachers, aided by action research, survey and analyze their own teaching notions, teaching experience and teaching practice to improve their teaching by means of teaching monitoring and teaching experiencing.Teaching reflection has the qualities of practicalness, individuality, initiative and gradualness.Teaching practice is an effective method for Chinese teachers to improve and develop themselves.In the process of teaching reflection, Chinese teachers confirm their own academic beliefs, develop academic ability and prompt the self-development awareness to come into being.In the meantime, Chinese teachers' teaching reflection is beneficial to students' growing and development.The second part fully analyzes the content and methods of middle school Chinese teachers' teaching reflection and provides a source of reference for middle school Chinese teachers' practice of teaching reflection.There is much for Chinese teachers to reflect on, but the key is "a sense of Chinese"; This thesis lists two types of Chinese teachers' reflecting methods. One is conversation with students, specialists, other Chinese teachers and teaching theories.Another method is reflection—reflecting on one's own work by writing teaching journals after teaching work.The third part points to the present situation and problems of middle school Chinese teachers' teaching reflection, analyzes reasonably the factors which affect Chinese teachers' reflection and puts forward suggestions to solve the problems. Owing to some restrictions, the present situation of Chinese teachers' reflection is not satisfactory and has many problems. The school administrative management is supposed to create environments for teachers to reflect and Chinese teachers should enhance consciously their ability to reflect.The aim of the present research is to find suitable Chinese teachers' teaching reflection methods and to construct a complete Chinese teachers' teaching reflection system by making a research on teaching reflection theories and practice at home and abroad.
