In the dissertation paper,the author focuses on the "civilization history" textbook for high school grade one. This textbook made a record as it had a minimum duration in P.R.C's senior high school history therefore there are exceptional particular research values. This paper task is to analyze the existing research achievements at home and abroad, compares with different teaching materials, This research subject objectively analyzes and evaluates this civilization textbook from historic research and textbook compilation angles, centers on questions as what it is "Civilizaton history"? What civilization history shall come in the education of high school?The dissertation paper first summarizes the researching result of academic cirles at home and abroad, to indicate the civilization history is some history, it just has difference from normal history in view of the research contents selection and discourse angles. i.e. the civilization history restores and comments on history by civilization phases, takes notes of civilization related issue, attention with investigation civilization process. The paper also indicates and compare the civilization teaching material between high school and college, the author thinks as the grade one textbook of civilization history is quite different from normal civilization textbook, thus receives much disputes. It selectively analyzes the notable problem of civilization textbook used in Shanghai, that is the contradiction of concept and practice which embodies as the implementation of civilization textbook for senior high grade one students is inhoerent with Shanghai high school's history course standard, and even the teaching material itself carry-out is deviated from the writing concept.In conclusion, based on an essential study on civilization teaching materials, the author would like to offer some humble opinions for reference. First, the compilation of history textbooks shall be give attention to manage well of time, space, and characters, the three basic factors. Second, the compilation shall be in accordance to China national situation, favors education on students' national spirit. Third, the modern and scientific elements which is also indispensable in compilation. Last but not the least, compilation shall conform to the requirements of education renovation, help promote the change of students learning method, raise comprehensive quality of teachers.
