In the present chinese reform in Senior Maths Curriculum,the curriculum content and set-up have greatly been adjusted,which has put forward new demands in teaching theory and teaching aims.Therefore,it is not enough to give teachers one or several curriculum training to change their existing knowledge structure and transform traditional teaching theory.The essay has surveyed the present situation of teachers maths reading in the form of interview and questionnaires.Based on the outcome,I think widening the horizon of teachers' maths is the key to the reform and it is the fundermental way to help teachers develop teachers' maths reading and improve their maths reading.On the other hand,there is realistic point in promoting teachers' self-development.The essay is based on previous research in reading.The definition of teachers'maths reading is that teachers do maths reading with the purpose of acquiring necessary knowkledge in maths teaching.Maths reading ability refers to all the complicated psychological feature with which teachers finish reading task without any difficulty to improve their own teaching.Meanwhile,it goes into details about the differences between the range of teachers'maths reading and maths reading ability.Analyzing the habit of cultivating teachers'maths reading and improving the ability of maths reading,and combined with examples:Under the groud of curriculum standard andcurrculum,it has realistic point in helping teachers change their habit of nonreading and guiding them in the process of maths studies,combined with Some useful examples.
