Biology is based on experiment, which plays an important role in biology teaching .Not only can it help students acquire knowledge and abilities, but what's more important is that it can forester their abilities to do scientific exploration and innovation spirit, to create and finally advance students' scientific quality. Just for this reason, No.8 elementary education curriculum's reform in our country gives top priority to the reform of experiment teaching. But because of the education idea for an exam and traditional teaching mode have a long-term influence, people don't pay great attention to the Biological Experiment, it has been a weak link in biology teaching.This thesis mainly adopts research and investigative method, with meticulous care design questionnaire, it carries on investigating to No.31 Middle School in Xiangfan city, No.44 Middle School in Xiangfan ctiy suburban areas and Taiping Middle School. This investigation gives out 907 shares questionnaires and takes back 852 shares valid questionnaires in total. The SPSS 12.0 analysis software is applied to analyze the stats of the valid questionnaire from experimental interest, experimental motion, experiment attitude and experimental capability four aspects. I have made a survey about the equipments of some biology labs in Xiangfan city, and compared the experiments in the major middle schools with those in common schools. The present situation of the biology experiment teaching was announced. The first is that students, teachers and schools don't pay attention to experiments. Biology experiments aren't always done in some schools, even in some schools experiments are never done. So the ability of the students' experiment is very poor. I think the main reason that causes the phenomenon above is that their teaching ideas have fallen behind, teaching methods are much too old and teaching evaluates are single.So according to the investigations and the result of domestic and international researches, this thesis finally proposes the suggestions of improving biology experiment teaching quality, just as following four aspects:First, transforming the education idea;Second, strengthening the experimental teaching research;Third, developing of the resource of experiment teaching;Fourth, building up experimental evaluate system.
