Analysis On The Actuality Of The High-level Volleyball Teams In General Universities Of Shandong Province

In 1895, William Morgan invented volleyball in America. With the introduction of western culture to China in the late1990s, volleyball came to China.In 1953, the built of our national volleyball association promoted the development of volleyball in China. Then volleyball came to schools gradually. Since 1987, the Ministry of National Education authorized general universities to have high-level sports team, and high-level sports teams became an essential part in university education. There were 11 kinds of high-level sports teams in our country, and the management of this new system became standard. At present, there are more than 40 general universities have high-level volleyball teams, including Beihang university, Tsinghua University, Nankai University, Tianjin Polytechnic University and Beijing University. Although the high-level sports teams in Chinese general universities have had some achievements, because of some shortages of the sports system, there's still obvious difference between university high-level volleyball team and professional volleyball team. There's a long way to go to achieve the goals for our high-level sports teams set by the Ministry of National Education and the state Sports General Administration. For the national general universities, how to cultivate not only in China but also to the world, with high-quality and high-level university students in sports is a brand new topic in front of us.In order to improve the level of high-level volleyball teams in general universities in Shandong Province, and narrowing the gap with the advanced level, the author took a detailed investigation and research on the present situation of the high-level volleyball teams in Shandong Province, found out the advantages and disadvantages and made the analysis of the present situation, excepting to give some references to the development of the high-level volleyball teams in universities in Shandong Province.The subject of this thesis is the nine universities which have the right to recruit high-level volleyball players. The author analyzed the present situation from the aspects of coaches, athletes, management, training, plays, training conditions, establishment and team medical equipment, using the methods of literature, investigation, mathematical statistics and logic. The result shows: In the high-level volleyball teams, there are a few coaches who have high education background. Most of them are not good at English and computers. And they do not have enough opportunities to receive good training. The team does not have enough equipment, scientific training method, money,and it has few cooperation with research organizations. The recruit form has shortcomings. The team has few matches. The athletes have few training subsidies and they can not solve the conflict between study and training. The team also lack money. The suggestions are: take measures to improve the coaches'professional level, use the competition system. During the training, we should use the scientific methods. We may reform enrollment system, expand recruit channel, use the market economy system, change the single source of money. For the players, they should solve the problem between trainging and study. Finally, we should reinforce the daily management of the team.
