| Since 1986. China’s colleges and universities begin to try high level volleyball teams, and the work of university volleyball of China has developed quickly. By 2004, there are 36 volleyball experimental schools which the Ministry of Education and provincial and municipal education committee have examined and approved. After the development of nearly 20 years, volleyball teams in general universities of Shandong province is not only changing in quantity apparently, but also improving in the technical level in quality, especially some high level volleyball teams of Shandong University, Shandong Normal University, China University of Petroleum and Shandong University of Finance and Economics and so on, which have repeatedly into the Chinese Volleyball League. Although trying high level volleyball teams in Colleges and universities of Shandong province have got some achievements, there are still some problems which need to be discussed and solved in practice.In order to establish common colleges’high level of volleyball teams keeping pace with international volleyball teams, this study mainly survey the circumstances of coaches and athletes, management mode, training factors, logistics insurance, of high level volleyball teams in common colleges in Shandong province, expound and analyze the main factors affecting the development of high level volleyball team in Colleges and universities of Shandong Province, discuss the countermeasure of high level volleyball teams’development in common colleges of Shandong Province with methods of searching materials, interviewing, questionnaire survey and analyzing mathematical statistics.The results of research show that:1. At present, the age structure of high level of volleyball athletes in common colleges of Shandong Province is reasonable. The students mainly come from common high schools and sports schools and still improve their skill. Incentives policies are not enough in enrolling management and need to be added.2. Coaches of high level of volleyball team in Shandong Province common colleges are young, and their educational structure are not very reasonable. At the same time, their works are arduous, with fewer opportunities to participate in training. Also, improving the standard of coaches need to be developed in the management system.3. The time number of times and method of training basically meet the situation of high level volleyball teams in Colleges and universities, but contradictories between education and training still exit. And construction of the volleyball team gets insufficient attention of leaders of schools with not perfect management system of most schools.4. Opportunities of participating competitions are insufficient for high level of volleyball teams in Shandong province common colleges, which influent the training enthusiasm of the athletes and coaches. Getting less match practice of athletes may affect the development of whole volleyball teams.5. Most of Shandong Province common colleges are independent to recruit high level of athletes, so funding is not enough and lacking less resource. Though funding can maintain the daily training basically, capitals are still needed in order to participate more matches.6. Sports grounds and facilities are not ideal in Shandong province colleges and universities, or can’t meet their training needs. There is no enough agencies and organizations to manage in nutrition and medical supervision from logistical aspects.7. The athletes’ employment chances are very little, and athletes have certain pressure in employment. Colleges’policies of athletes’employment are not enough either, which causing athletes’worrying for employment.The countermeasures are as follows:1. Colleges should pay more attention to volleyball teams, consider the quality of the skills of athletes, focus on the requirements of high-level athletes’ education, take more preferential policies to attract high-level athletes, improve policies of admission and expand resource of students to improve the training of reserve personnel.2. Colleges should pay attention to the selection and training of potential coaches, improve job training of coaches and the situation of retraining, raise the level of coaches, improve the faculty of coaches, establish a scientific and rational management system for coaches, strengthen the establishment of coaches teams to promote the sustainable development of high-level volleyball teams.3. Colleges should pay same attention to educational learning and training to resolve the conflicts between learning and training. Colleges should also establish a special agency to be responsible for the management of high-level sports teams, and develop more detailed regulations to promote high-level sports teams’ management more institutionalized according to the fact of the colleges.4. Shandong Province should focus on the construction of competition system, hold more volleyball leagues to improve the exchanges among each high level of volleyball teams and participate more large multi-national or international volleyball tournament.5. Colleges could increase the amount of capital investment and develop all kinds of channels to establish a multiple-channel of financial investment. Our government could make related policies to support it and change our traditional ideas radically. And the market mechanism could also be introduced into the sport industry to quicken the pace of development of Shandong ordinary senior high school volleyball sports team.6. Colleges should regular logistical support system for athletes, strengthen scientific management of space equipment, and improve the situation of venues and facilities. Colleges should focus on dietary nutrition of athletes, may set specific recipes and canteens and increase subsidies for athletes. Colleges should emphasize on medical supervision and protection work for sports teams, and increase investment in medical expense.7. Colleges should add career guidance into university compulsory curricula, give guidance of choices in job-searching. Sports administrative departments should help give more opportunities for athletes in employment and encourage choosing jobs by themselves. Raising the employment rate of the high-level volleyball athletes and remove their worries is beneficial to attract better athletes. |
