Cooperative learning, as a new classroom teaching management mode, has been widely used by many countries for an original and useful teaching theory and measure system. This writer, who is an English teacher for country junior school, through years of researching on the domestic and international documents, learning of the new English class standards, making some students questionnaires, communicating with other teachers and observing in the classrooms, knows the current situation of teachers and students'English cooperative learning in country junior schools of Su Zhou. I find that it is important to introduce the cooperative learning mode into country junior school Oxford English classroom teaching, and change the way on how to better apply this mode. Combined with the practice and the feature of country junior school English teaching, this research is based on cooperative learning theory, which proposes"five steps"in teaching cooperative learning mode and"six strategies"for applying, which have been practiced in a country junior school in Wu Zhong of Su Zhou. Through some teaching attempt and exploration, it suggests some examples on applying this mode to the speaking, writing and reviewing for the third-year students of junior schools. It has been proved that most students made great progress in school achievement and nonintellectual aspects after it was adopted. It is a very useful and practicable teaching method to apply cooperative learning to country junior school English classroom teaching.
