Study On College And University Culture Of New Campus In Chongqing

In the Driections for Enhancing and Improving Campus Cultural Construction in higher education institutions jointly issued, in December, 2004,by the State Education Ministry and the Communist Youth League, it is explicitly stated:"campus culture in higher education institutions is important section of socialist advanced culture. Enhancing the construction of campus culture construction is of great significance to boosting the reform and growth of higher education,enhancing university students' education in ideology and politics, and improving,students'comprehensive qualities."Now,with the Chongqing's Municipality and higher education being popularized ,the boom of building new campus in Chongqing .But most new campus are not built on the necessary cultural basis,thus affecting adversely the development of talents,Consequently the cultural construction in new campus draws wide and increasing concerns,and becomes a problem to be solved in least time.The paper take as Marxism and Leninism, Maozedong thought, Deng Xiaoping's theory, Three represents and Hu's concept of science development and building harmonious society, and follows the methodology of combining with practice,coupled with literature,inquiry and research,seminars and comparisons.Accordingly,the paper examines and studies the campus cultural construction in Chongqing.To make objective the research process,stratified questionares are employed randomly when the research is conducted,Particularly by combining and comprehensive analysis.In the paper,some concept relevant to new campus and campus culture are defined ane interpreted at first;then, some problems with new campus and campus culture are categorized and analyzed based on reinterpretation campus culture,together with the result of questionnaires and interviews with some teachers and students working and living on new campus.Finally,with reference to some experiences of successful new campus home and abroad,solutions are given to these problems.Furthermore,a case study is conducted on new campus in Huxi of Chongqing University.It is discovered that the new campus is devdloped in such a manners as from being passive to active and conscious. At present, achieving some success and forming a distinctive characteristics Huxi campus culture. From the practice, to practice. this paper aims to be of great use of the present cultural construction in new campus of higher education institution in Chongqing.
