Nowadays,educational innovation in and around China is to cultivate scientific accomplishments.Inquiry teaching is.the key breakthrough of cultivating scientific accomplishments.Nevertheless,while in practice,the results are not as good as people hope they will be.To improve the inquiry teaching,the paper deals with ideas based on the research on the related factors.I conduct the research by qualitative researching method.Choosing some four classes and two Chemistry Teachers in a common middle school of a district as my research goals,I spent a term tracking them.During the time,.I recorded their behaviors during the classes by videos and taking notes,at the same time,I together with them had many examinations. Besides,I had both formal and informal talks with the two chemistry teachers and I formed some ideas about Inquiry teaching through the talks with other chemistry teachers as well as some students,and in the talks,other chemistry teachers themselves also had their own opinions about Inquiry teaching.Through the investigations,I have found out the factors that affect chemistry teachers of middle schools when performing Inquiry teaching,including subjective ones:(teaching ideas,knowledge,teaching habits),and objective ones:the system of teaching evaluation, students' factors(including their attitudes towards Inquiry teaching,their former basic knowledge and learning methods,the relationship among them ),teaching time,teaching materials,training for new lessons,the teaching management of the school and so on.Combining what I have got by investigating,I analyzed the concrete cases and bring up some ideas to promote the carrying out of Inquiry teaching:Improving the teachers' quality is the premise to promote the practice of Inquiry teaching,the teaching appraisal idea renewal is the key to promote the implementation of teaching inquisition,enhancing the effectiveness which the new curriculum trains is the effective way to promote the implementation of teaching inquisition,that the school leaders have advanced teaching ideas is the important guarantee to promote the implementation of teaching inquisition.
