Reflective teacher surpass the traditional experiential teacher for they highlight the reflection in the teaching practice.Reflective teacher retrospect their teaching practice critically and actively on the basis of routine teaching practice.Reflection is the vital approach of teacher professional development,and the reflective teacher training is the significant tendency of teacher education.With the integration of teacher education developing rapidly,the reflective teacher training gradually move towards to the initial teacher education.At present,teacher education in our country pays less attention to the reflection ability of normal university students,so that the curriculum setting and the teaching practices can not meet the needs of reflection ability cultivation of students.There is much precious experience of initial teacher reflection ability cultivation in the UK,which is worthy of us to reference.This paper is divided into five sections:Firstly,Introduction.In this section,I presented the reasons and background of my research, and then I reviewed the research on this subject at home and broad.Secondly,the United Kingdom looks forward to the initial teachers who have the reflection ability.The cultivation of reflective teacher is one of the significant development tendencies of teacher education.Because the UK's education was influenced by the reflective teacher trends,the Professional Standards for Qualified Teacher Status and Requirements for Initial Teacher Training was published in 2002,which indicates the standards for a qulified teacher,and puts forward the requirements of reflection ability of a qualified teacher in three aspects,such as professional values, professional knowledge and understanding and professional skills. Thirdly,the contents and implementation of cultivating the reflection ability of initial teachers in the UK.The contents are mainly divided into two parts:one is reflection curriculum, which set a theoretical basis for reflection through many directly related courses in the curriculun module,another is 'reflection' practice,which the initial teachers participate it with the reflection ideas to complish the tasks.This will extend the reflection objects and widen the reflection approaches.Fouthly,the pragmaticality analyses of cultivating the reflection ability of initial teachers in the UK.The plentiful contents of cultivating the reflection ability of initial teachers cannot separate from the cultivation idea of developing the reflection ability which is advocated by the teacher educators.The teacher educators highlight the combination of theory reflection and practice reflection,and they enhance the reflection through many approaches.The initial teachers' reflection idea is stimulated,and their abilities are developed.Finally,enlightement and reference.Because the teacher education in our country has neglected the cultivation of reflection ability of normal college students for a long time,so it is necessary for us to learn and reference the precious experiences of initial teacher education in the UK.We should bare the idea of reflection in mind and implement it through the whole cultivation process;set the appropriate curriculum and carry out the practicum under the goal of developing the reflection ability.
