From 1999 onwards 2001,the formulation of the PE curriculum standards(tested) towards Chinese middle school had been completed,It was published formally by Chinese educational institution in February 2003,and was implemented throughout china in 2005.PE and health curriculum standards established the conception 'humanity-originate and heal-promotion',and set up the curriculum in 5 fields targeting sporting participation,sports skills,physical health psychological health and social adaptation,Thus it emphasised cultivating students' studying interest and exercising lifetime instead of instilling skills.To implement the conception of the new PE curriculum standards entirely,and achieve the goal to cultivate and strengthen the sense of excising lifetime by teaching track and field PE teachers must separate efforts to improve their accomplishments,and reform track and field teaching method comprehensively by initiating teaching content rationally in the process of teaching,ensuring the teaching method flexibility and trying new teaching method.This research project,by adopting the approaches based on documents investigation mathematical statistics and logic analysis,have learned the current situations of track and field teaching in Henan province after the new PE curriculum standards be carried,get conclusion as fellow:Henan as a province with large hasn't had advanced sports facilities with limited instruments in sports in middle school,According to the author's investigation of the process of due to lacking of facilities and fields,teachers' capacity limitation and the inadequate implementation of the conception,many middle school still adapted the pattern before to large extent in terms of teaching content and method.even worse,in some middle school,track and field teaching went to far away,most students couldn't be motivated well to take part in track and field activities,very few students would participate sorts consciously and establish the sense of exercising lifetime through track and field study.middle school students showed little interest in track and field,thus they would not like taking extra-curriculum activities,resulting in poor health condition in general among the youngsters.The phenomenon sates that there are still ways to go to catch up with the requirement of the curriculum standards,so that current track and field situation needs improvements to large extent.At present,to implement the conception of the new PE curriculum better,we should spent money on middle school's PE teaching,improve the modern standards extent of track and field teaching.PE teachers improve the ability of teaching themselves enrich the contents,methods of track and field teaching,they are explained in this paper,in order to protect track and field teaching more effectively.
