The present thesis is a case study which chooses the"Jinchang"district in Suzhou (the national Experiment community education area)as the investigation object. The survey shows the basic community education situation of the residents, the community education activities and community education organizations, as well as the status of community education workers through questionnaires and interviews with workers. After a full analysis of community education activities and community education running status-quo, the author suggests that we build a new operational mechanism of community education in Jinchang, with a coordinated management by the Government, the broad participation of social forces, and community interaction with schools, as well as the autonomy of schools.And the paper analyzes the status–quo and existing problems in the operational mechanism of community education in Jinchang district and proposes some measures and development modes on the above analysis: to raise consciousness of community education, fully use community resources,enforce government function and build up a higher quality community educational team.
