Learning school is an educational organization guided by the learning leader to finally realize sustainable learning and development on basis of mutual educational value, with mutual vision as guidance, systematic thinking as integration tool, organizing and managing elements with collaborative culture, overcoming development obstacles of the organization through mutual learning and practice. It is featured in: authorization; mutual learning, share and practice; value and vision of share; open of school system; coordination of school culture; flexibility of school organizational structure and humanization of organization leaders.Through literature research, trial test, formal test and analysis of relevant statistics, this paper compiles and revises questionnaires of the learning school and specifies its four-dimensional structure: share and supporting leadership, mutual learning and application, management and support, and collaborative culture and mutual vision. In addition, the paper studies 28 junior and senior high schools as well as 735 students and then analyzes the situation for Chinese middle schools to construct learning schools. Its main conclusions are as follows:(1) Learning school has taken shape at junior and senior high schools of China.(2)Among features of the learning school, the most prominent one is"mutual learning and application";"share and supporting leadership","management and support"and"collaborative culture and mutual vision"are poor.(3) Middle scale schools are most applicable to construct learning schools.(4) There is no marked difference to evaluation of teachers with different ages, educational background and majors on"share and supporting leadership","mutual learning and application","management and support", and"collaborative culture and mutual vision".(5) There is obvious difference to evaluation of teachers from different provinces, school types and scales on"share and supporting leadership","mutual learning and application","management and support", and"collaborative culture and mutual vision".(6) Male and female teachers have different evaluation to"collaborative culture and mutual vision". Teachers of different ages get different evaluation to"management and support"and"collaborative culture and mutual vision". Teachers from different posts have different evaluation to"mutual learning and application"and"collaborative culture and mutual vision".(7) The key factors to influence"share and supporting leadership","mutual learning and application","management and support", and"collaborative culture and mutual vision"are: demonstration and example, application and innovation of knowledge, support of resources, funds, technologies and experts, and collaborative management of culture.Finally, according to results of empirical study, it chooses and reconstructs the management mission, Chinese traditional culture, school culture, and subculture, organization, mechanism and management of school which are used during construction of learning school, integrates collaborative elements and constructs the reformation system of collaborative management which includes the following 4 elements,"share and supporting leadership","mutual learning and application","management and support","collaborative cultureand mutual vision".
