Researching Table-tennis Sport's Developing Status And Affecting Factors To Chongqing's Universities And Colleges

Table-tennis sport is honored as"National Ball"in China,which gathers fit,competition, entertainment together.Because table-tennis sport which can adjust and improve cardio vascular system and respiratory system's functions,which can develop physical qualities of flexibility, coordination,speed,strength,which can train good mental qualities of wisdom,calm,struggle, has many advantages,such as small size,rapid speed,much variety,simple equipment,great amusement and no limit of participants'age and sex,it has become the most favorite sport programme to Chinese people.Moreover,it has become more popular sport in national universities and colleges,and has gotten undergraduates'love.Nowadays,educational department has put table-tennis sport into education plans as elementary contents of physical course.Table-tennis sport is regarded as one subject in advanced physical institutes,yet it is put into public physical course in normal universities and colleges.We can find table-tennis sport plays an important role in physical programmes of universities and colleges.24 universities and colleges with table-tennis education in Chongqing are regarded as researching object in the papers.By using the documentary method,investigation and interview, questionnaire,and mathematical statistics,the author analyzes the present status of teaching, train and exercise after class from different levels and angles.Through analyzing factors which affect development,the author put forward relative suggestions to the development of table-tennis sport in universities and colleges of Chongqing.The papers drew main conclusions as follow:1,The open rate of table-tennis in Chongqing's universities and colleges is 66.67%.It has been one of favorite physical progarammes in most universities and colleges of Chongqing.2.The proportion of the professional teacher is small in teachers about table-tennis of Chongqing's universities and colleges.In teachers about table-tennis,the total with advanced professional title and high diploma is little and age structure is too young.The teaching organization is varied and all-round in investigated 24 universities and colleges.It is beneficial to improvement of teaching efficiency.Most teachers used three teaching methods:explanation and demonstration;repeat train;faults'prevention and correction.It is beneficial to improvement of teaching effect so that course can go on smoothly.In Chongqing's universities and colleges, Undergraduates' acceptance to table-tennis comes to 83%;The motive of studying table-tennis is interest;Students about 80%agree that table-tennis get to improve to a certain extent after studying it.It shows the teaching effect of table-tennis course is comparative satisfactory in investigated 24 universities and colleges.3,The spare exercise of table-tennis in universities and colleges of Chongqing has been one of major programmes.But exeercise exsits some problems,such as low frequency,little spending time,backward in administrative form,and little attention of department responsible for the work.4,The coaches'teams about table-tennis appear tendency with young,low professional title, absent experience.The competitive level of professional teams in universities and colleges of Chongqing is low relatively.Comparing with"Three big balls",The holding frequency of amateur competition with municipal,province degree is obviously lower.5,Though the level of table-tennis's space and equipment is low,it can satisfy spare training's need.But in most universities and colleges,space and equipment of teaching and exercise after class aren't sufficient.It has been concerned in little attention of higher school's leader and little investing expense.6,The factors affecting table-tennis sport's development to Chongqing's universities and colleges are:lack of expenses,space,equipment,teachers,little attention of the leaders and weather's variations.
