Purpose:Use core stability training and traditional strength training, and carry these two exercise interventions on the chronic low back pain(i.e.CLBP) patients. Then observe the influence of these two interventions on the pain intensity and static balance ability of LBP patients, compare the treatment effect of core stability training with the strength training,in order to determine weather the core stability training is dominant for the rehabilitation and treatment of CLBP,and provide new ideas and methods for the LBP recovery and treatment.Methods:20 patients with CLBP were divided into the SET group and the strength group, each group had 10 people. The SET group used Sling-Exercise -Therapy Training(i.e.SET),and chose the back stretches, the abdomen bends, the side-bends and the rotation, these four kinds of exercise to train. In the beginning,3 times aweek,4 weeks latter, twice a week. The short- form of McGill pain questionnaire(SF-MPQ), Oswestry Pain & Disability Question- naire(OPDQ) and the static balance ability test were carried on in three times, before the experiment,4 weeks and 8 weeks, respectively. The strength group chose the satisfy action corresponding to the SET group, the training intensity was 20RM, 3 sets,3 times a week for 4 weeks, the tests identical with SET group were carried on before and after the training. Both of the two groups carried on the follow-up questionnaire one month after the training. The test results were carried on statistics processing, compared the treatment effect of these two interventions.Results:(1) Compared with the pre-training,4 weeks later,VAS, Affective-pain and Total-pain of the SET group had significant difference (p<.05),ODI bad a very significant difference(p<.01);8 weeks later, only ODI had a very significant difference;after one month, each target continued to decline, having statistical significance.(2) Compared with the pre-training,4 weeks later and one month after the training,VAS, Total-pain and ODI of the strength group had very significant difference. (3) 4 weeks later and one month after the training,SET group's ODI was lower than the strength group obviously, having a very significance difference.(4) 4 weeks and 8 weeks later,SET group in position of one-leg standing with eyes-closed,a number of target's mean values and standard deviations were reduced and much lower than the pre-training,having statistical significance;SET group trained 8 weeks compared with 4 weeks, there was no significant difference.(5) The strength group only in position of affected-side standing with eyes- closed,X,LngY,Dx three targets had statistics difference.Conclusion:(1) Both of 4-week core stability training and 4-week 20RM strength training can effectively relieve the CLBP and improve the disability status, but the core stability training improves the effectiveness of functional much better than the strength training.(2) 4-week core stability training can improve the CLBP patients' static balance ability when one leg standing with eyes-closed.The effect of 20RM strength training to the CLBP patient's static balance ability is not obvious.(3) The core stability training has the good subsequent effect, can be sustained to mitigate pain intensity and improve function for one month after training.(4) 3 times a week core stability training has a good treatment effect.
