With the development of high level competitive sports,the essence of the competition between high level athletes has already shifted to contests concerning psychological qualities and psychological skills.With strong will power and high awareness,an athlete is more likely to win a match.Awareness training involves conscious mental activity,therefore to combine awareness training with basic skills training will contribute a lot to the consolidation of dynamic stereotype as well as motion memory, thus to bring athletes' best form into full play.This paper studys the impact that awareness training exerts on peak motion behavior,promotes approaches to foster and strengthen athletes' awareness and proposes suggestions to coaches and athletes in their training process.By consulting literature,interviewing experts,doing qustionaire, using statistics and refering to basic theories of philosophy,sports psychology as well as sports science,this paper manages to study the awareness training system in the scope of sports psychology through goal-setting training and imagination training.On the basis of previous study on imagination training,this paper takes 12 students majored in martial arts in Hunan University of Science and Technology as experimental objects by studying their imagination ability with the integrated approach of Sports Imagery Questionnaire (SIQ) and Motion Imagery Questionnaire(MIQ),and by evaluating the effect of imagination training with the integrated approach of imagination training and the scoring system of martial arts performance. The experiment shows that imagination training not only improves athletes' performances,but also reduces anxiety before games. Furthermore,it could strengthen confidence,and finally proves the effectiveness and feasibility of imagination training in practice.The conclusions are listed following:1.The combination of awareness training and basic skills training may foster and strengthen athletes' awareness and proposes suggestions to coaches and athletes in their training process which will lead athletes to the best competitive state.2.The integration of SIQ and MIQ could help improve athletes' imagination abilities effectively.3.Awareness training could strengthen athletes' movement sense as well as perception,emotion controlling and self-confidence which will improve the performance of martial arts athletes,and eventually prove the feasibility and effectiveness of imagination training.
