School-running features have been paid close attention in the research fields of education practice and theory in China and abroad. To be in pursuit of school-running features has become the educational trends of the time. Regarding private colleges, school-running features are its basic outlet to run a school independently legally and strive for the survival and development in the increasingly intense competition. The study of the school-running feature of private colleges helps to pursue the personalized development, and to improve the quality of school-running unceasingly as well.On basis of some of the primary principles of school-running feature, the thesis with reference to theory and practice as well as with the current state of some domestic private colleges, has analyzed the factors which influence the formation of school-running feature in the private college. In addition, the thesis takes Huanghe College of Science and Technology as an example to structure the main framework through analyzing its development. The thesis's main content is constituted by the following four parts:The first part is an introduction, which starts with a posed question in order to bring forward the study significance. Then on the basis of comprehensive review of searched literature, the thesis proposes research ideas and methods.The second part is elementary theory of the school-running feature of the private colleges. It mainly includes connotation and extension,basic character of school-running feature as well as the erroneous zone during which the private colleges create school-running features. Afterwards, the thesis proposes some factors influenced the being of school-running features through combining and analyzing the practical experience of some domestic private colleges.The third part is a case study. The thesis mainly analyzes the development of Huanghe College of Science and Technology comprehensively and attains some successful experiences, which can afford references for other private colleges.The fourth part is mainly to bring forward some advices on how to form school-running features from the angel of government and college respectively. The government should provide advantageous policy environment and financial support. The college should form its school-running feature through standardizing internal management, adapting market and the brand making.
