A Study On Distinguishing Feature In Running Schools For Independent Colleges

Independent College is a completely new pattern in Chinese higher educational framework , it comes into being by the evolvement of second rank college ,which is state-owned but runned by the local people .The second rank college is engendered along with enlarging recruitment of colleges and universities students at the end of last century. Independent College is an offspring which adapts to the progress of popularization Chinese higher education, it enjoys an unique status in the framework of Chinese higher education and presents a fine prospect in the future.Since a comparatively short period in running schools in China, some problems exist inevitably during the process of running school practice, the distinguishing feature in running schools is a key question for the survival and sustainable development of independent colleges. Under the request of carrying the quality of higher education to a new and higher level, independent colleges are about to meet face to face the eligible evaluation. In order to upgrade the entirety strength in running school, independent colleges must stand on the height of strategic development and adopt feasible and effective steps to optimize feature in running schools and to increase teaching qualite continuously.The produce of independent college and the important role in higher education framework are expatiated in this thesis.The principal contradiction and problem during the development of independent college are analyzed, the problem of distinguishing feature in running schools is discussed in detail. Case study which aim at the practice of running school is done and the experience and lesson are gathered up ,On this foundation,basic strategies on how to optimize distinguishing feature in running school are brought forward,these strategies are centrered on following aspect:how to hold on the orientation of running school, how to innovate the cultivate mode for man of ability, optimizing the cultivate system for man of ability especially in speciality setting, qualified faculty building, campus culture construction etc.In addition,some chief exterior elements which influence the forming of distinguishing feature for independent college are analyzed. In the end, the future orientation is introduced on the base of present study.
