Because of the great development of physics, many high school curriculum has added some modern physics material. According to the situation of modern physics education, however, there still exist many troubles and problems. Being against those problems, this paper analyzed the present situation of modern physics education research domestic and abroad. After stating clearly the basic thoughts of modern physic and its value of education, the problems of teaching material and teaching were enumerated. Base on the experience of oversea curriculum, this paper put forward the method of taking the basic thoughts of modern physics in middle school physics teaching in order to solve some problems.The first chapter analyzed domestic and foreign present situation of modern physics education research and made a summary. The second chapter was the pedagogic foundation. The third chapter covered the basic thought and the pedagogic value of modern physics. The fourth chapter made some analyses about the relating contents of new teaching material as well as the present teaching situation and enumerated some problems of modern physics education. Referring to the overseas outstanding teaching material as well as the related research results, proposed the taking-in method. The fifth chapter was the detailed explanation of the method. Definition of taking-in method,the feasibility under the present situation of education and four ways when adopted were included. The sixth chapter gave 5 examples using the material of modern physics. The last chapter made a summary.
