In 2003 April the Ministry of Education promulgated the "ordinary high school mathematics curriculum standards (test)." The standard first substantial introduced the elective topics,it is new content and posed a severe challenge for the teaching of secondary school teachers. Symmetry and group are one of the topics in which many teachers on the content of the topic was very strange and can not be teaching well. . Therefore, the high students can get in out of college before high school elective courses related study is very necessary. For these reasons the high teacher-student in a "symmetry and group" Experimental Study of Instructional Design is necessary.In this study, the first ethnic minority areas of Guizhou Province and the high teacher-student high school teachers make about "symmetry with the group" understand the situation a survey to determine the need for instructional design, and then in accordance with the symmetry group has its own logic system, the use of modern instructional design "system design", including analysis of the learning needs, analysis of teaching content, learner analysis, choice of teaching strategies, teaching of the process of identifying, teaching of evaluation and so on.Secondly, the study was carried out "with the group of symmetry" This pilot elective classes teaching the topic of the scientific nature of instructional design, the effectiveness of materials have been tested in practice, results showed that: "Symmetry and group of" instructional design programs are feasible and effective. At the same time, analog methods of study are "symmetry and group" the most commonly used method; academic evaluation of students using a variety of evaluation methods combined.Finally, this study sumes up the problems and expectations of this study.
