"The lessons from the history of mathematics" is the elective courses of "the standard of mathematics curriculum" taught in general high school, which is issued by Ministry of Education in May 2003. As the first lesson about the history of mathematics, it is "what to teach and how to teach" that remains a major task for mathematics teachers in secondary schools to conquer.In this paper, we try to analyze the requirements of "lessons from the history of mathematics" in new curriculum in four aspects, the course objectives, course content, course implementation and course evaluation. We choose three cases based on 17 teaching hours of teaching practice and wish to improve the teaching status on the basis of case analyzing and problem reflecting.
