Chemistry Olympic contest is a kind of intelligence contest of chemistry that has been spread all over the world. It enjoys a history of over twenty years at home since it first appeared in China in 1984, the first set of high school chemistry competition. For middle school and high school chemistry competition closely linked, it began to set up in 1989 at middle school Chemistry Olympiad, Nowadays, the prevalence of chemistry contests has contributed to establishing a multilayer and multilevel pattern of contest, which ranges from junior middle schools to senior middle schools and from local areas to the whole country. From 98 onwards, the Olympic middle school (TianYuan Cup) race was renamed the middle school chemistry experiment quality and ability to contest (TianYuan Cup), indicating that education scholars aware of the training and improve the quality of students and laboratory capacity.The basic spring board of Chinese chemistry contest is to promote the middle school quality education. The idea of assigning questions is based on the natural growing point. On one hand attaching importance to the the concept of quality education, on the other hand the idea also lays stress on the checking of the student' ability, the inspiring of the students' interesting of learning chemistry, the promoting of teaching reform in middle school, the boosting of chemistry teachers quality and the teaching quality in middle school, the cultivating of high quality intellects that face the 21st century.Through the analysis of the recent ten years test questions of final contest of Chinese chemistry contest, it is concluded that the contest plays a role of directing the middle school chemistry teaching and keeps close relationship with the chemical quality education. The contest questions originate from the contest out line but are not limited by the outline. While contacting real life as well as the scientific frontier, the questions are also regarded as highly the colligation and penetration of multiple contest questions relate to the fundamental knowledge and the science branches. Reflect the exploration of researching and idea of creating,The new knowledge, experimental new technology and new scientific fields. Through the analysis of contest from the angles of contest and education, the paper discusses relationship of contest and quality education. It is concluded that chemistry contest is a kind of midst chemistry, it embodies the quality education deeply. So the contest can be called the model reform of class teaching. The contest not only inspires the chemistry teacher's enthusiasm of renewing their knowledge, but also intensifies orientation of the ability cultivation in practice of teaching.For a better understanding of middle school real question in chemistry contest and teaching in GuiZhou Province.the situation of Guizhou Province's candidates taking parting in national chemistry preliminary contest of middle school of 2007 and 2008 were analyzed, the problems appeared in examination paper were summed up. It focuses on organizational leadership contest, participants and teachers to investigate race interviews, trying to find Guizhou Chemical race some of the problems exist, in order to deeply the understanding of the contest, and the middle school chemistry contest guiding significance. At the same time, on the base those question to investigate the status of chemical teaching and research. Finally, unifing the practical condition of Guizhou Province, some suggestions were proposed for the work of chemistry contest and . teaching job of teachers to promote the middle school chemistry teaching quality improve.
