Any curriculum reform successes or not will ultimately depends on the teaching, however the textbook is one of the decisive factors in language teaching. Language textbooks, as the main virtue of the implementation in teaching, should give full play to the basical functions of instruction, take the teaching instruction of language knowledge seriously.The country promulgated The Full-time Compulsory Education of Chinese Curriculum Standard in 2001. The concept expression and the content choice of language knowledge have been changed, someone has not acquaintted the vary, the basical status of language knowledge has been suspected. "Not pursuing a complete system of language knowledge" does not mean to ignore the existence of language knowledge. Neither language ability nor language literacy should be based on the language knowledge.The paper, which is based on the description of the objectives of language knowledge in Language Curriculum Standard in Senior Middle School, takes PEP Curriculum Standard Experimental Textbook for Chinese in Senior Middle School which has higher authority and wider usage in china for an example, and gets all the language knowledge in this set of textbook together to inspect its implementation to curriculum objectives in senoior middle school. Not only can this knowledge summary become a consultation in teaching for teachers and in learning for students but the research arguments for textbook researchers.Any set of textbook has both advantages and disadvantages. The author combines the preparation of language knowledge in PEP Full-time Textbook for Chinese in Senior Middle School (Compulsory) to point out the advantages and disadvantages. In order to promote the development of textbooks, we need to carry forward the good tradition of language knowledge preparation, we should also learn from foreign experience in the relevant native language textbooks. Finally, the author combines the research status of study in language knowledge, tries to pose the preparation proposals of language knowledge for our textbooks, and hopes to contribute strength to the development and progress of textbooks.
