Solfeggio is a basic course in music education. As it is a learning of elementary knowledge of music and a training and practice of some basic skills of music, it is quite easily trapped into boring skill-training, and derail students'initiative, therefore, the key factor in solfeggio teaching is to cultivate children's interest.Proceeding from child psychology and physiology, the author advances that solfeggio teaching should meet children's psychological and physiological characteristics of different stages, and teachers should pay great attention to developing children's self-confidence. The author also points out some problems existing in the present teaching and learning and proposes some rational suggestions. By analyzing and taking in some excellent teaching methods from abroad, the author puts forward some specific ways of teaching (as in accuracy in pitch; rhythm; beat; mode and tonality; music theory knowledge and making use of multimedia) to improve children's interest in learning and to further increase their efficiency of learning and their aesthetic faculties in music learning, hence laying a good foundation for them to learn, to use and to enjoy music. Sincerely hope this thesis could make a little contribution to solfeggio teaching.
