Research On The Kindergarten Parent Committee

Parent committee consists of some parents representatives, a standing mass organization, represents the benefit of parents and children as the bridge between kindergarten and family. The study discusses the existing conditions of parent committee, analyses the existing questions, explores the factors which affect parent committee and then tables a proposal which help improve the situation.The researcher summarizes the related research literature about domestic and foreign parent committees, discusses existing research achievements, disadvantages and interprets its enlightenment for this study. The paper is based on the "society Interest group theory" and "supportive relationship theory", and introduces the core concept of the two theories and interprets their inspiration on the paper.Four major approaches applied in the paper are interviews, questionnaire-survey, observation, and analysis. The author accumulates a great deal of information by interviewing with teachers, parents, directors, and the questionnaires that wrote by teachers, and observing the activities of parent committee and collecting something substantial that are related with kindergartens, and then has a deep study, including the purpose of foundation of parent committee, members' condition, founding forms, right and duty, assess and election.The research indicates that parent committee of kindergarten has some achievements, for example ,definite purpose of foundation, unified members' condition, multiple founding forms, comprehensive right and duty, perfect assess system, fair election of parents committee. However, there are some disadvantages, including purpose of foundation which is not comprehensive enough, lacking of self-evaluation and election of parent committee which is not standard enough. The research shows clearly that education law, educational concept, kindergarten and family have influence on the achievements and disadvantages of parents committee of kindergarten.The thesis makes some viable suggestions for educational department of government-make more comprehensive children educational law, supervise the kindergarten more strictly, for kindergarten-improve the knowledge of parents, lead the parents' behavior, for family-cooperate the activities of kindergarten, definite their own duty and right.Meanwhile, there are some limitations of the research in subjects and contents. Hence, the researcher plans to solve a few difficult problems in the future.
