In the new century,with the development of education,educational equality has become the main chase in basic education fields.Problems in educational equality appear in u(?)ban and rural areas,different districts,sexes and chsses,etc.Sexual equality in education is a very big public concern.Nowadays,the phenomenon of boys' low academical achievements in primary and middle school has become a world wide difficult question,and this problem has already become a main obstacle in educational equality constrution.In the west,the significance of this phenomenon has been recognized by many experts,and related research achievements appeared gradually. While in China,though the situation is also serious,it hasn't been given much attention to or studied deeply.The article you are going to read contains interviews with teachers and students in primary and middle schools as well as their parents.And it also involves statistics about 960 exam papers in chinese,math and English subjects from grade4~grade7 students during the year 2007-2008,in M District in Shanghai.These interviews and statistics show that,boys with bw academical achievements in basic education is common.Especially in 3 main subjects,girls do better than boys.The reasons to this phenomenon is mainfold,including sexual differences,and influences from school and family education.Besides,boys' special sex character,the changes of society and deviations in education researches can also explain that phenomenon.To solve the problem thoroughly,we need families,schools,education governments and researchers to cooperate.To schools and teachers,what they need to do is to set up an idea of different teaching methods according to different sex,reform the way to judge students,balance the sex rate in teachers,and use single sex classroom if possibles.To families,it is necessary to make up a family leader group caring about boys' education,change the value of sex,and let fathers take the responsibities to educate childrens.To education governments and researchers,they should recognize the significance of studies about boys' education,do deeper researches at the same time,as to give an intelligence support.
