As the main body of mathematical analysis,Calculus is mankind's a greatest discovery in the 20th century,and a monument of human's wisdom.Limit theory is the basic theory of calculus,and limit concept is the core concept of limit theory,it's very important for students to learn limit concept well.However,to teach limit concept well is a world's difficult problem as so far,and this situation urgently need to be changed by times and calculus teaching reform.On the other hand,Inquiry teaching has made remarkable achivements on elementary mathematics teaching reform,but there is not even a single progress on advanced mathematics teaching reform.Obsolutely,the way in elementary mathematics teaching reform is not quit fit advanced mathematics teaching reform.Therefore,combining with improving students' learning style and learning enthusiasm,limit concept inquiry teaching is a very important significant research subject.The paper applies both qualitative research and quantitative research.Firstly,the theoretical base on the inquiry learning of mathematics is rethinked.Secondly,the main reasons for limit concept difficult to teach are discussed,especialy potential infinity and actual infinity,mathematical language,dialectical logical thinking in limit concept.Thirdly,some pertinence teaching strategy are given according to limit concept,including history of mathematics,mathematical thought and method, mathematical experiment,mathematics reading.History of mathematics can be used to optimize teaching,creat effectively question situation,arouse students' subject consciousness,mathematical thought and method should get more and more attention, it can arouse students' interest,mathematical experiment is conducted to explore the function to promote students' ability to analyse and solve questions and students' total quality development,mathematics reading is conducted to explore the function to promote students' mathematics accomplishment and mathematical culture.Finally,a experimental research has been made,including some rethink and correlative advice.More knowledge of limit is integrated at the same time of studying how to teach limit concept.As the core concept of mathematical analysis,limit concept embodies some characteristics of some abstruse concepts and mathematical analysis in a great degree.Therefore,this study is helpful for the teaching of mathematical analysis or these abstruse concepts.
