As an theoretical genre emerged in the end of 20th century in the western educational circles which has important influence, caring education theory takes postmodernism sociology, humanism psychology and educational philosophy as the research beginning, and studies the current situation of lacking caring in school and society. Caring education theory attaches great importance to the function of caring in school education, and it stresses that caring is an important thread in the growth of teacher's and student's life. So, caring education theory suggests that we should help students growing up healthily by taking caring as the core of school education, taking the growth of student's individual life as the basis of caring, and trying to establish the caring-type relationship between teachers and students.Caring education theory makes us be more aware of "the life is the jumping-off point of education, and also the educational terminal point; caring is the responsibility of education, and also the attitude of education." However, the phenomena of lacking caring in schools have happened frequently, because of on the influence of instrumental rationality, scientism and traditional views. This thesis proposes some suggestion about caring education by looking back to the current situation of lacking of caring, and based on the analysis of this situation from the source.The first part of this thesis analyzes the historical and theoretical background of caring education theory, and also summarizes the viewpoints and striking features of caring education theory.The second part interprets the caring and caring education. It also discusses the relationship between the growth of student's individual life and caring education.The third part describes the actuality of lacking caring in school, such as destroying the integrality of student's individual life, keeping away from the world where students live instilling the invention of student's individual life, ignoring subjectivity of student's individual life. It also analyzes the reasons to the problems above, such as the value tendency of scientism and society-oriented, class teaching form and the low life quality of teachers. The last part focuses on the implement of caring education. It firstly discusses the value tendency of life concept and happiness theory, and proposes principles of continuity, extensity and gradation. Aiming at the problems, it points out that we should promote the healthy development of student's individual life by setting up people-centered education, improving life awareness of teachers, strengthening caring for teachers and establishing the caring-type relationship between teachers and students.
