College PE teachers in charge of the physical education teaching in college,having the task of training the high-quality talents to adapt to the fast developing modern society.College aerobic teaching should keep on Promoting Teaching Reform and Enhancing the Quality of Education,promote the college students' physical and mental health, their teaching ability is the key point. This research is under the background of our country's education reform which from exam-oriented education to quality education,with characteristics of aerobic teaching and developing trend,to discuss the teaching abilities which aerobic teachers in modern college should have.By investigating and researching the teaching ability of college aerobic teachers in southern Jiangsu, proposed some suggestions on the existing problems, in order to promote the sustainable development of aerobic teachers and provide some basis theory and reference to college PE majors which will became future aerobic teachers. The research chose the aerobic teachers' teaching ability in southern Jiangsu as the research object. Using documentation,questionnaire,expert interview and mathematical statistics to analyze and research the aerobic teachers' basic situation,teaching abilities status and influence factors, the conclusion as followings:1. The aerobic teachers' age,record of schooling and the resource in southern Jiangsu colleges are reasonable, speciality and professional title structure are basically reasonable. Also sex structure is not so reasonable,the percentage of male teachers is already start raising.2.Southern jiangsu's college aerobic teachers have strong professional dedication, but the major teaching theory knowledge mastering is not so good, most of the teachers' specialized technical level are at mass quality,and low in judgment level, which need further enhance.3.Southern jiangsu's college aerobic teachers are week in basic teaching abilities,such as :creating and compiling abilities,ability of training and the orgnazing competion,ability of using modern education technology .for the teaching assessment ability both the teacher's assessment and the student's self assessment abilities are very good.for the ability of teaching developing,most teachers are good at self-study and teaching summarized,normal at self-monitoring ability, teaching creativity and research ability are not ao good ,need to hurry up.4.The factors affecting aerobics teacher abilities in colleges of southern Jiangsu mainly include: aerobic's training and communication,teachers ' own qualities,degree of teacher's self effort,the outside environment of teaching,the attention that school leaders payed.Suggestion:Aerobic teachers should constantly update and improve the professional knowledge and technical structure,improve teaching quality and teaching ability; Aerobic teachers should constantly improve the judgment ability; Aerobics teachers should keep on researching and studying, to improve the teaching creativity and scientific research ability;School leaders should strengthen the construction of aerobic teachers group;Through the organization of different sizes of aerobics game, to promote the college aerobics teachers communication and improving.
