Purpose:It has been confirmed that there is a significant correlation between P300 and cognitive activity.We are planning to approach the effects of Tan Chi Chuan(TCC) exercise on the low of visual event-related potentials through Horizontal comparison and Longitudinal follow-up study.And we are also want to provide the experimental support about the effects of Tan Chi Chuan exercise on the event-related potentials.Contents:①the Horizontal comparison:We compared the difference of P300,reaction time and physical fitness between the students that have long been engaged in Tai Chi Chuan exercises and the one who do not take part in sports;②the effects of 6 weeks in different frequency(3 times/week and 5 times/week) TCC exercise on event-related potentials.Objects:The Horizontal comparison:We selected 17 people who engaged in TCC exercise for a long time(≥1 year) for TCC group.The we selected 29 people who engaged in Dance sports for a long time(≥1 year) for Dance sports group.At the end we selected 30 people who do not take part in sport for Control group.The longitudinal follow-up study: 27 female college students were randomly divided into three groups: Seven volunteers were assigned to a control group who wouldn't take part in any sport. Ten volunteers were assigned to TCC group 1 who joined the experiment three times per week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.Ten volunteers were assigned to TCC group 2 who joined the experiment five times per week from Monday to Friday.The two TCC groups were required to take park in TCC exercise for 6 weeks. Method:literature,expriment research,mathematical statistics and observation method.Indicators testing:①the recording of visual event-related potentials: The instrument that was used recorded the P300 was NDI-200. P300 was recorded by visual stimuli consisting of an oddball task. According to the international 10-20 system, it was recorded at the Pz,Cz and Fz sites. During the recording period, A TV showing the visual stimulate was approximately 1 meter in front of subjects. P300 components were elicited by oddball tasks. The probability that the black and white bars as a target stimulate was 20%, while the probability that the black and white grids as a standard stimulate was 80%. the subjects were instructed to keep their eyes open and look at a small fix point on the TV. They were instructed to respond by stepping a button with their right foot as fast as possible when the target stimulate appeared and ignore the standard stimulate.The target stimulate superposition 30 times.②physical fitness tests:using VIVENTE Body Composition Analyzer which made in Korea recorded the body compostion of subjects before and after exercise;using Monark 839E cycle which made in Swedish recorded the maximum oxygen of subjects before and after exercise;using body anteflexion in sitting posture recorded flexibility;using sit-ups recorded muscle strength and muscle endurance.③using POMS and attention scale distribution recorded psychological indicators.We recorded the P300 at Pz point before exercise,at 2-week,at 4-week,at 6-week and after 2 weeks recovery training.We also recorded the P300 at Cz and Fz before exercise,at 6-week and after 2 weeks recovery training.Exercise prescription:Training time:6 weeks.Sports:24 form TCC exercise.Frequence:TCC group1:3 times/week;TCC group2:5 times/week.Sport time: preparation for 5 minutes, fundamental part of practice for 35 minutes, organize activity for 5 minutes.Results:①The maximum oxygen of two TCC groups showed an upward trend after 6 weeks,and the group1's showed significant changes(P<0.01).The body anteflexion in sitting posture of two TCC group showed significant improve(P<0.05).WHR of TCC group2 showed significant decrease after 6 weeks(P<0.05).The self-esteem of TCC group2 showed significant increase after 6 weeks(P<0.05).②The latency and reaction time of TCC group and Dance sport group are significant shorter compared control group's(P<0.05).But there are no significant differences between TCC group and Dance sport group(P>0.05).③The latency of two TCC groups showed a downward trend during the test.But there is no significant change(P>0.05).The amplitude of TCC group2 showed significant increase(P<0.05) after 4 weeks and 6 weeks.And after 2 weeks recovery period,the amplitude of TCC group2 showed significant decrease.But the amplitude of TCC group1 and control group showed no significant change(P>0.05).The reaction time of TCC group1 showed no significant increase after recovery period(P<0.05).④The latency of Cz and Fz showed significant increase compared with the one of Pz(P<0.01).The amplitude of TCC group2 which was recorded at Pz was significant increase after 6 weeks(P<0.05).The amplitude of TCC group1 which was recorded at Cz showed significant decrease after 2 weeks recovery period(P<0.05).The reaction time of TCC group2 which was recorded at Fz showed significant decrease(P<0.05).The reaction time of TCC group1 which was recorded at Pz showed significant decrease after 2 weeks recovery period(P<0.05).Conclusion:①24 form TCC exercise that lasting for 6 weeks(3 times/week or 5 times/week) can significant improve physical fitness and mood status.②TCC exercise that lasting for a long time can improve the information processing speed and decrease the latency of P300.③TCC exercise has a positive impact on cognitive function.But the effects of 5 times/week was better than the effects of 3 times/week.④There are different effects on P300 which were recorded at Pz,Cz and Fz points.
