The reading and appreciation of literature works is an indispensable component in Chinese-teaching of middle school ,It plays a special role in helping students self-develop and self-build . Teaching of literary appreciation in middle school,put humanist self-restraint of affective into practice for students by wield excellent art fruit in ancient or modern times,with the help of teaching method coincident with the rule of art appreciation.To the utilitarian purpose of passing examination,Chinese teaching tend to attach great importance to analyzing,and ignore the influence of the whole body ;they stress a lot in train and ignore enriching their feelings; they put emphasis in acquiring knowledge and ignore individual understanding."Course Standard of the Full-Time Compulsory Education"published in 2001,conform the status of literature teaching,pay attention to its humanist function such as influence,infection,cultivation that should be projecting at the process of teaching .In this thesis ,the author does a thorough research on the teaching of literary appreciation of secondly middle schools by following literature read-interpretation regular pattern,depending on western aesthetic principles,modern study theories,psychological and Chinese educational theories,based on the experiences in native and international literature education,absorbing theories and lessons form traditional Chinese literary appreciation,drawing support form teaching cases.Firstly,the thesis expounds the concept of literary appreciation,reveals its nature and characters,state its necessity and meaning on Chinese-teaching in middle school.The second chapter,retrospect of literary curriculum practices in modern Chinese instruction,objectively summed up of its experiences and lessons.Analysis of the features of literary curriculum In the new era of secondly middle schools,exposed all kind of evil accumulated in Chinese-teaching of secondly middle schools for a long time, aim at the necessity to sticking out the literary quality in Chinese-teaching,reflect the real meaning of teaching.From the third chapter,some proposal on how to appreciate literature in Chinese-teaching from literary elements to the process and particular methods are elaborated.The last chapter is the introspection of literature appreciation in secondly middle schools.
