As one of the four major literary genres,script has been selected into senior high school Chinese textbooks for its unique and irreplaceable literary value.In senior high school,the first unit of fourth compulsory Chinese textbooks published by People's Education Press is the script,which aims at cultivating students' ability on dramatic literature appreciation through reading teaching.However,at present,the script teaching is time-consuming with low efficiency,thus has failed to achieve the goal.In order to realize the value of script teaching,by using methods of literature research,case analysis,textual close reading and comparative analysis,this paper is analyzing the teaching design and its cases so as to find out the problem in script teaching.It includes inappropriate teaching objectives,content organization ignoring the literary characteristics of the script,excessive performance and weakening of reading.Besides,the invalid teaching evaluation is unable to provide effective feedback to teacher.Therefore,this paper will also analyze the causes of the problems then put forward concrete suggestions so as to improve script teaching and contribute to the teaching objective.
