This essay lauches an investigation on 588 college sports majors with a questionare on the emotioal intelligence and quality of life. Based on such investigation, it explores the emotioal intelligence and the quality of life (QOL) of college sports majors , including their mutual relationships,and comes to the conclusions as follows:1. On average, female college sports majors are better than male college sports majors in the aspect of emotional intelligence ,but there is no remarkable difference between them.2. College sports majors from the rural areas show better emotional assessment than those from cities. The difference between them is not remarkable.3. The difference in college sports majors having siblings or not does not affect emotional intelligence in the aspect of total scores, main factors and minor factos.4. College sports majors in different grades shows great differences in emotional intelligence assessment, but not the higher grades, the higer assessment.5. The quality of life of male college sports majors is better than that of female college sports majors in the aspect of physical, psychological fields, but the difference is indistinctive. The difference between other fields is indistinctive and the statistics makes no sense.6. College sports majors from rural areas or cities have no great impact on different fields of quality of life and the total quality of life.7. College sports majors who do not have siblings' average scores are higher than those having siblings in the physical, social and environmental fields. The statistics shows that the difference is not remarkable and thus it makes no sense. But in the field of psychological College sports majors having siblings is better than those who do not have siblings and the difference is indistinctive.8. The quality of life of college sports majors comes down while the grade gets higher. Freshmen's quality of life is best while that of seniors is worst. So the difference between different grades is great.9. The emotional intelligence and quality of life of college sports majors positively correlated with gender, students' resources and kinds of colleges, but negatively correlated with college sports majors having siblings or not.10. Emotional Intelligence and quality of life in the field of psychology and social relations associated. Emotional perception and emotional evaluation, emotional expression, emotional control and psychological quality of life and social relations was a significant positive correlation. The promotion of thinking and the quality of life in the field of social relations was a significant positive correlation. Emotional perception and emotional evaluation, emotional expression, emotional control, the promotion of thinking and the physical quality of life in the area of the field of environment is not significantly related.
