The Research On Recent Level And Inner Relationship Between College Students’ Non-intelligence Mental Quality And Altruistic Behavior

With the recent society changing rapidly, complicated social phenomenon and diverse cultural values have a tremendous effect on our thoughts. As the most energetic group in the contemporary China, college students, their way of thinking and values are followed in the footsteps of changing which is quickly updated. However, do they have a healthy non-intelligence psychological state? If their altruistic tendency and behavior also followed the pace of social progress and improving correspondingly? How could non-intelligence psychological state influence their altruistic behavior? And what is the relationship between them?These are valuable issues.This thesis aims at college students’ present situations and inner relationship between non-intelligence psychological quality and altruistic behavior in our nation.Furthermore, the study also illustrate the analysis that college students’ non-intelligence psychological quality has a significant influence on their altruistic behavior level.The respondents are from 5 universities in Hunan Province who have a full-time undergraduate study in their schools.We let all of them,503 college students,accept the questionnaire survey which entitled “College students’ non-intelligence psychological quality and altruistic behavior ”.Then 483 effective questionnaires are obtained and the effective rate is 91.13%.According to the survey, using SPSS 19.0, we processed the data by descriptive statistical analysis, interactionanalysis, comparison of the mean and variance analysis, multiple linear correlation analysis and other statistical methods for data analysis.Based on the results, we found that the score distribution of College students’ personality traits, self consciousness, social adaptation, altruism cognitive level are satisfying.The education background characteristics and demographic characteristics such as gender, school, major exist significant differentiation influences on parts of non-intelligence factors and dimensions of altruistic behavior.As a whole,the non-intelligence psychological state of college students has an significant effects on their altruistic behavior level.Then confidence factor in the personality traits of college students has significant positive effects on all the dimensions of college students’ altruistic behavior level.Independence factor plays a reverse significant role on the altruistic cognitive and utilitarian altruistic motives.Other factors have different positive effect on different dimensions of college students ’ altruistic behavior level significantly. Self-awareness, self monitoring and self acceptance factors have significant positive effect on the altruistic behavior of different dimensions. From the point of emotion regulation ability, reasonable emotional control, has significantly negative influence on utilitarian altruistic motivation.Besides it have significant positive influences on other altruistic behavior dimensions. Psychological motivation, sense of honor and curiosity factor significantly affects the maximum of altruistic behavior, other factors also have significantinfluence. Finally, interpersonal factor in social adaptation has the strongest positive effect on altruistic behavior while interpersonal adaptability factor is minimal.
