The relationship between sleep and memory,especially emotional memory,has gradually become a hot issue in social studies.Behavioral and physiological research results show that sleep plays a role in promoting the encoding and consolidation of emotional memory.The theoretical model shows that there is a positive correlation between sleep quality and the emotional regulation ability of individuals,which shows that sleep plays an important role in emotional processing and memory.More and more studies have shown that emotion regulation strategy affects memory accuracy and response time,but few researchers have discussed the relationship between these three factors.This research mainly explored under the different emotional states induced,adolescent sleep quality of different emotional nature material memory accuracy,and the influence of reaction time,and from the Angle of different emotion regulation strategies,explore the relations between them,for the junior middle school students correct understanding of sleep problems,improve the efficiency of memory and choose reasonable and effective emotion regulation strategies provide certain help and guidance.In this study,170 students in grade one and grade two of a middle school in xi'an city were selected by questionnaire and experiment,using Pittsburgh sleep quality index scale(PSQI),adolescent emotion regulation strategy questionnaire and emotion evoked assessment form.Total score of the sleep quality questionnaire in accordance with the ascending order,use the critical ratio method to choose the top 27%and 27%of the subjects after the high quality of sleep group and the low quality of sleep group,two groups of subjects were randomly and a half again,positive emotions evoked half,the other half to negative emotions,induce,for different emotions induced under the condition of high and low sleep group of subjects with the emotional memory test.The memory materials of the experiment were words and pictures with different valence.ABBA balanced design was used.Half of the subjects were randomly selected to do the words first and then to do the picture test,and the other half were not.Induce positive and negative video selected materials,two kinds of emotional state points using the sleep quality(high and low)x emotional nature materials(positive,negative,neutral)mixed experimental design,the sleep quality is variable between subjects,emotional nature material for variables in the subjects,the dependent variable of the indexes have recognition accuracy and reaction,using learning-recognition paradigm for test.Research findings:(1)there was no gender difference in the seven factors of sleep quality among junior high school students,and there was a grade difference in the factors of sleep latency.The sleep latency of junior high school students was longer in grade two than in grade one.(2)there was no grade difference in the use of emotional regulation strategies among junior high school students,and there was gender difference in the use of negative behavior regulation strategies.Male students used negative behavior regulation more frequently than female students.(3)individuals with high sleep quality had better memory of materials of different emotional properties in the context than those with low sleep quality;The reaction rate to emotional materials was faster than that of the group with low sleep quality.(4)individuals with high sleep quality used more positive emotional strategies and less negative emotional strategies than those with low sleep quality.(5)under any emotional state,the positive emotion regulation strategy has a significant positive prediction effect on the accuracy of the three emotional materials,while the negative emotion regulation strategy has a significant negative prediction effect on the accuracy of emotional materials.Under the condition of positive emotion,the positive emotion regulation strategy can only negatively predict the reaction of positive materials.Under negative conditions,the positive emotion regulation strategy had a negative predictive effect on the reaction of the materials with three kinds of emotional properties.(6)under the condition of positive emotions,the negative emotion regulation strategy had a partial mediating effect between the sleep quality and the correct rate of positive materials,while the negative emotion regulation had a partial mediating effect between the sleep quality and the correct rate of negative materials.Under negative conditions,the positive emotion regulation strategy played a complete mediating role between the sleep quality and the correct rate of negative materials,while the negative emotion regulation strategy played a partial mediating role between the sleep quality and the correct rate of positive materials.
