The thesis is on school-based curriculum development in secondary vocational schools.The school-based curriculum development has been on in high schools for decades.But it is quite new in secondary vocational schools because of many factors.The thesis,applying the documentary methods,the way of case study and action study,has studied the school-based curriculum development in secondary vocational schools in China.The school-based curriculum development in secondary vocational schools has been being in practice at Changsha Railway Secondary Vocational school for several years.The thesis comes to a conclusion at the study on school-based curriculum development in secondary vocational school.The thesis also tries to offer some useful and helpful ideas and cases for the school-based curriculum development in secondary vocational schools and tries to improve the secondary vocational education as well.There are four parts in the thesis.The first is the guide of the theory. In this part there are the foundation and meaning of the article and the way of studying.This part also deals with some basic concepts.The second is the background of school-based curriculum development in secondary vocational schools.It takes the efforts to discuss the possibility and necessity of developing school-based curriculum in secondary vocational schools through the research on school-based curriculum development in primary schools in China at present.The theory and practice in primary school also back the possibility firmly at the same time.The third part talks about basic concept and ways to develop the school-based curriculum development in secondary vocational schools.It discusses the requirements,methods and disadvantages of school-based curriculum development in secondary vocational schools and tries to find efficient ways to reach the goal.The fourth part is the last but not the least absolutely.It deals with a case study, a case of school-based curriculum development at Changsha Railway Secondary Vocational school.This part includes both the success and fail experience and the meaningful points of school-based curriculum development in secondary vocational schools.The school-based curriculum development in secondary vocational school is being practice at present.Lacking of the policy back from the government and educational administrative department,it has not developed enough.And it needs every effort to better itself.
