The development and application of teaching method is the criteria for modernization of education which is ,in large part, comprised of and signified by the use of multimedia .The application of modern teaching method to music innovates and vitalizes the music development.As the multimedia begins to popularize , some problems concerning one's conception, understanding of this field have arisen. So the proper utilization of multimedia plays a very important role in the process of perfecting and reconstructing the teaching of the music.The students in junior middle are on the way of becoming mature and flexible. The introduction of music represented via multimedia into classroom enables them to appreciate the beauty of music in a all-round way. It is our ultimate goal for teaching. Hence, the research and exploration in this particular field is of great value to both society and application.The article, based on the full consideration of students of junior age, using all sorts of theories, takes a deep insight look into different aspects of multimedia and its magnificence in classroom teaching. By doing so, the requirement set by the new curriculum is also met. The cases in real setting included in the article have presented the current situation of music teaching in junior schoolThe article is divided into four parts.Part one elaborates the necessity of multimedia use in music teaching for junior students.Part two makes an analysis on the situation of multimedia usage as well as the problems and weaknesses in using it.Part three explains the proper usage of multimedia and how to make full use.Part four sums up the viewpoint and provides some good examples and assessment.
