The music curriculum standards clearly put forward: "Take the core of music aesthetics,take interest as the driving force,pay attention to personality development,pay attention to music practice,actively encourage music creation,and understand the importance of multiculturalism." However,because junior high school students do not have enough ability to identify,they must go through strict screening by teachers.Whether pop music can be introduced into junior high school music teaching has become the focus of educators.Through questionnaires and interviews with teachers and students in the No.1and No.6 middle schools in Huaihua City,we learned that the current situation of popular music in junior high school music teaching is as follows: First,the content of popular music in textbooks can no longer meet the psychological needs of students.Students 'enthusiasm for music lessons is not high;Secondly,the teaching method of teaching pop music by teachers is too traditional and single,and it lacks novel teaching methods and can not stimulate students 'interest in learning.Thirdly,some teachers teach pop music too much and ignore the study of traditional music and classical music,which is not conducive to students 'learning of music knowledge in all aspects;Fourth,in order to satisfy students 'interests and hobbies,teachers introduce pop music into music teaching without screening.Unhealthy and negative thoughts in pop music will seriously affect students' physical and mental health.Finally,the introduction of pop music into music teaching is easy to distract students attention,which is not conducive to students' concentration on listening to classes and concentrating on learning music knowledge in teaching materials.The countermeasures proposed for the problems existing in popular music teaching in junior high school are as follows: First,we adhere to the principle of moderately introducing popular music,focusing on the content of learning textbooks,supplemented by popular music,and combining the teaching content of textbooks with popular music.Music teaching,Inspire students 'interest in learning;Second,use scientific,flexible and diverse teaching methods to motivate students to learn,such as playing pop music before class,creating a relaxed and pleasant classroom at mosphere,organizing in-class theme music appreciation activities and music practice activities related to "pop music".Guide students to view pop music correctly and improve students 'musical creativity and expressiveness;Thirdly,choose the connotation of popular music works with artistic value into the music teaching,to cultivate students 'ability to appreciate music;Finally,we advocate the diversification of music teaching,strengthen teachers 'understanding of pop music,and build a syste matic and complete music knowledge system,which can comprehensively collate,ana lyze and grasp pop music.
