The thesis, which is on the basis of research results of the existing teaching mode and according to Biology Curriculum Standard for Full-Time Compulsory Education and in view of the present situation of our country's middle school biology teaching and combined with my own teaching practice and thinking, aims at exploring a teaching mode that can meetbetter the need of the teaching reform of biology curriculum ------ theproblem-solution teaching mode.The thesis summarized from three aspects of the teaching mode, the problem-solution teaching as well as the problem-solution teaching mode, and discuss the relationship between the problem-solution teaching and new curriculum. According to the idea and construction principles of the problem-solution teaching mode, the fourth part puts forward operation procedures of the biology problem-solution teaching mode:1. Create situations and present problems. The key to the problem-solutionteaching mode is to create situations. Situations creation should follow the rules of instructiveness, moderate degree, connecting with practical life and diversified thinking.2. Analyze and solve problems. According to the actual situation of juniorbiology teaching, biological problems can be grossly classified into several types, namely, knowing basic facts, understanding and applying concepts. In view of different problems, adopt corresponding strategies.3. Reflect and apply problems. The problems, which solve facts, conceptsand laws, can only be activated and deepened in reflection and application. When reflecting and applying problems, students can develop the comprehensive ability to use knowledge, train the ability to practise and communicate and cooperate, and develop creative spirit. In order to check usefulness of the problem-solution teaching mode in biology teaching, carry on the study about teaching experiment, through a test and an inquiry of questionnaire about students learning interest and achievement, the results of statistic analysis shows:1. The problem-solution teaching mode can arouse students' learning interest and enhance their enthusiasm of learning biology.2. The problem-solution teaching mode can enhance students' initiative oflearning biology and play their main role.3. The problem-solution teaching mode can be helpful to improve teachingeffects and students' academic achievement.4. The problem-solution teaching mode can train problem consciousness andimprove students' ability to think about, analyze and solve problems.
