This article firstly states "problem solving" teaching model in the research status at home and abroad by making a combination of literature, and carries on the thorough analysis according to the current situation of the research for this teaching mode. On this basis, it puts forward the necessity for "problem solving" teaching model used in high school biology classroom teaching. At the same time, the characteristics of the compulsory module layout makes biological problems more centralized, which is beneficial to "problem solving" to carry out in the high school biology classroom teaching. On this basis, I construct "problem solving" teaching mode of operation steps which are suitable for high school biology classroom building according to my experience in teaching and research achievements of predecessors. And I mainly focus on the "problem solving" teaching mode in the new course standards of high school biology teaching and the review lessons, which are in favor of optimizing the traditional classroom teaching and have the guiding significance in the process of teaching.The results show that "problem solving" teaching model can encourage the activity of the students to study, cultivate the students’ consciousness of problems and develop the ability of the students to analyze and solve the problem.
