Urged by parents' increasing demand of their kids to learn English as early as they can, more and more kindergartens have been taking English course. English education in kindergartens is a new question for study. At present, English education in kindergarten of Huhhot has also experienced the development of a longer period of time. Although English education in kindergarten has made great progress accompanied by the growing maturity of the theory of English education in kindergarten,at different levels for developed and cultural background of different regional environment, the local English education in kindergarten still show the different problems, so it is very important that we study the English education in kindergarten of Huhhot to provide theoretical guidance for the local early childhood education.Full text is divided into three parts:The first part is introduction. Including subject reason, research significance, research synthesis, the theoretical basis of research and research methods. The study is based on Theory of the Natural Route Hypothesis and the Affective Filter Hypothesis posed by Krashen,Discourse Theory . The main methods in the study are questionnaire, interview, observation and object gathering.The second part is Investigation and Analysis of English education in kindergarten of Huhhot. Specific investigations are as follows: conditions about English teachers,goals,contents,implementation and evaluation of English education in kindergarten, English language education in kindergarten content arrangement status, the status of implementation of kindergarten English education, teachers' training and needs. According to the investigation, I've got to know there are seven shortcomings about English education in kindergarten of Huhhot: the first full-time teachers are much more than part-time teachers. The second teachers and parents have no exact notions to children's English education. The third the ability of teachers' selecting text is bad. The fourth teachers teach more knowledge rather than ability of communication. The fifth teachers adopt a single, monotonous teaching means and methods. The sixth there is no scientific evaluation system about English education in kindergarten. Finally, kindergartens failed to give enough training to their English teachers. At the same time, this paper has made some affirmatives to the achievements of English education in kindergartens of Huhhot. First kindergartens carry out a series of educational activities with children as the fundamental starting point. Second, most of kindergartens have offered a short-time training to the teachers who are going to teach English and teaching English. Third parents recognize that it is important to cultivate chirdren' interest in learning English. They also pay attention to the role of functional languages. Lastly, parents know more that the importance of home to children' English education.The third part is countermeasures and suggestions to English education in kindergarten of Huhhot. The results of the investigation reflect advantages and disadvantages of English education in kindergartens of Huhhot. Also they offer realizable bases for improving English education. According to the results, some countermeasures and suggestions have been put forward in the study from solving the problem of more full-time teachers, correct view of goals of English education in kindergartens, improving the capacity of selecting materials, cultivating communicative competence, using of Games approach, many ways to carrying out a full range of English Education, setting up scientific evaluation system about English education in kindergarten and strengthening English teacher' training.
