The biggest bright spot of the current round of curriculum reform is the reform in the current teaching methods to promote the implementation of inquiry teaching.In order to know the current situations and existing problems after the implementation of the new curriculum into teaching in remote backward areas,A questionnaire survey about teaching situations in Baotou were answered by 180 middle school chemistry teachers,the result showed that 90%of middle school chemistry teachers know inquiry teaching a lot,but 75%of teachers did not use it to guide teaching practice in classes, they still used the traditional teaching method and heuristics to the new teaching materials.Another questionnaire survey about studying situation were answered by 360 middle school students in Baotou,the result showed that most of students there were with a strong utilitarian,the poor independence and weak awareness of problem,and so on.To solve these problems,a kind of Teaching Mode of Inspiration-Inquiry to meet the basic requirements for inquiry teaching was mentioned according to the construction theory and the problem of teaching theory,in which it can not only get to the objective,but also fit the regional characteristics.In the mode, the chemical question is the starting point,and chemical experiments is the base,inspired teachers and students inquiry are the main form,appropriate integrate "spoken to do" of the teachers and "spoken to do" of the students;as combining the heuristic teaching into inquiry teaching and learning,the necessity of the heuristic teaching is taken into account.In order to test the practice effect of the mode,a teaching experiment, selected 117 students in Grade 3 of 2006 in No.2 Middle School of No.1 machinery Group,was carried in Qingshan,Baotou.In the experiment,the students,in the same scores level,are divided into the two different class,one class students,called experimental class,were implemented,according to the teaching Mode of Inspiration-Inquiry,and another class students,called contrasting class,were taught,according to the traditional teaching methods. In the end of the experiment lasted for a semester,a questionnaire survey and a exam involved in exploring questions were carried.Passing the T exam and contrasting the correct rate by SPSS statistical software,it was shown that the scores of experimental class' students were significantly higher than the students in contrasting class,and there were significant differences.The results indicated that the Teaching Mode of Inspiration-Inquiry can fully mobilize the enthusiasm of students,stimulate the interests in studying of students,enhance the sense of cooperation of the students;train the abilities that the students can study independently,think the problem from multi-angle, solve the problems creatively.
